How Often Should You Actually Post on Social Media? (Oman Edition)

4 min read

"How many times a week should we post?" is one of the most common questions we get from brands in Salalah and Muscat, and it's usually the wrong first question. Posting frequency matters less than most people assume — consistency and quality of content matter more.

A brand posting three times a week with content that's actually shot for their business — real photos, real video, a voice that sounds like them — will outperform a brand posting daily with generic stock imagery and captions that could belong to any business. Algorithms reward engagement, not volume, and audiences can tell the difference between content made for them and content that's just filling a calendar.

That said, consistency does matter — an audience that sees a brand disappear for three weeks and reappear randomly never builds the habit of checking in. Most brands land somewhere between twelve and twenty pieces of content a month across their channels, but the right number depends on the platform, the industry and what the audience actually responds to.

The bigger question worth asking is who's actually creating the content. A social calendar filled with stock photos and templated graphics reads as exactly that, no matter how often it posts. Content shot specifically for the business — in the café, on the product, at the event — is what actually makes people stop scrolling, and that's a production question as much as a scheduling one.

And don't overlook the language question: bilingual audiences expect content that reads naturally in both Arabic and English, not one language as the "real" version and the other as a translation squeezed in afterwards.

If your current posting schedule isn't translating into an actual audience, the fix usually isn't posting more — it's posting better. Let's talk about a content strategy built around your brand, not a generic calendar. Our social media management team is backed by an in-house production studio, so your feed runs on real content, not stock.
